Advanced Endodontics Dentistry

We believe in keeping teeth whenever possible; we prevent extractions when root canals can save your original teeth, and we minimize root canals when fillings can be done, allowing our patients to keep their natural smiles. After an infection has taken hold, root canal therapy is a successful procedure that can save a patient's tooth from extraction. And we'd like to take this opportunity to point out that, rather than creating pain, a root canal treatment helps to relieve it!

Procedures performed at Our office by our Endodontist are:

  • Root canal therapy
  • Root canal retreatment
  • Microscopic Endodontics
  • Apicoectomy
  • Treatment of dental emergencies and trauma
  • Other types of treatments and surgeries that can help preserve teeth and restore integrity, strength, and structure of a tooth.

Basic Endodontics- Root Canal Treatment :

The goal of root canal therapy is to remove bacteria from the infected root canal, avoid reinfection, and save the original tooth. The inflamed or infected pulp is removed, and the inside of the tooth is meticulously cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed.

Advanced Endodontics :

Our office's endodontists use a High-Powered Dental Microscope, which allows them to see tortuous roots, calcified canals and microscopic canals that aren't visible with naked eye. Endodontists can use the microscope to construct a smaller access point (hole), maintaining tooth structure.

It allows an endodontist to remove old materials and even previously broken files during retreatment.

Endodontic treatment can only be performed once. If it doesn't work, the tooth will either need retreatment, apicoectomy surgery, or extraction. That is why choosing the right endodontist for the initial procedure is so important.
